About the role
To support the legal and regulatory framework for Docusign's regulated verticals, the full-time remote Senior Counsel Product Regulation will own the verticals thesis, define regulatory defensibility for agreement records, and serve as the subject matter expert for product legal teams.
Key responsibilities
Own the verticals thesis and translate regulatory requirements into product and engineering specifications
Develop reusable positions and guidance on compliance issues for regulated markets such as Real Estate, Health and Life Sciences, and Financial Services
Collaborate with commercial legal and privacy teams on customer deal commitments and streamline compliance question routing
Required qualifications
Law degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in at least one US jurisdiction with 8+ years of relevant experience
Experience advising product and engineering teams in a regulated technology environment
Proven track record of translating regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications
Expertise in at least one regulated vertical such as health and life sciences, financial services, or payments
