About the role

A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as a Fund Accounting Associate.
Responsibilities: Support recurring fund accounting and financial reporting activities across a range of investment vehicles. Review accounting records, portfolio activity, expenses, and fund-level allocations. Coordinate with external service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Assist with investor activity, including contributions, distributions, and related reporting. Prepare periodic valuations, performance calculations, and financial statements. Support annual audits, tax deliverables, internal reporting, and special projects. Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve accounting processes.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.4–6 years of relevant accounting experience within financial services. Experience with investment funds or alternative asset managers preferred. Public accounting experience is a plus. CPA or progress toward certification preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
