About the role
- Develop secure, cloud-native applications from database schema through backend services and production user interfaces.
- Support an existing platform while building pilot solutions and custom MVPs.
- Work includes API development, dashboards, legacy data migration, authentication integration and deployment across AWS partitions and classification levels.
- Core stack:
- Python/Django, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL/Aurora, AWS, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD and Keycloak.
- Active TS/SCI5+ years of hands-on development
- Python backend using Django, FastAPI including async/ASGI and modern Python 3.13+Production frontend React, Next.js or equivalent; must demonstrate complete applicationsRESTful API design, Backend-for-Frontend patterns, including Pydantic-driven validation
- PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, migrations and data loadingAWS application deployment &troubleshooting across classified partitions and regions
- Familiarity with EKS, Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC and KMSTerraform module development and maintenance
- Authentication integration using Keycloak, OIDC, SAML or CAC/PIV; secure token handling
- Secure development for STIG-hardened, FIPS-validated environments
- GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
