Overview: Delivery Dispatcher - Windows Department
Position Overview: Direct Lumber and Door is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Delivery Dispatcher to join our Windows Department. This role is responsible for coordinating delivery schedules, routing trucks, and serving as a key liaison between sales teams, drivers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate daily delivery schedules and route trucks efficiently Communicate with sales teams, customers, and drivers to ensure smooth operations Verify next-day deliveries prior to loading and confirm customer approval Inspect and verify all outgoing orders against pick tickets Manage delivery documentation, including required signatures and records Monitor back orders, delivery issues, and damaged materials, and resolve accordingly Assign and adjust driver routes to balance workload and maximize efficiency Maintain driver logs, trip reports, and ensure regulatory compliance Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and discrepancy reporting Support fleet maintenance scheduling and repairs Address delivery-related concerns, complaints, and service issues Assist in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications: Previous dispatch experience preferred Construction or building materials industry experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Why Join Us?
