About the Role: They're looking for an experienced Steel Stud Foreman to lead framing crews on commercial construction projects in the Waukesha area. This person will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day field operations, laying out walls and soffits, reading plans, managing labor, and making sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. You'll be the go-to person onsite for framing activities, helping keep projects on schedule while maintaining a high standard of quality.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and coordinate framing crews onsite
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and structural shop drawings
  • Layout walls, soffits, and framing systems
  • Identify and communicate plan changes, discrepancies, or field issues
  • Track material needs and order materials as projects progress
  • Attend foreman and coordination meetings with project teams
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements
  • Keep projects moving to hit schedule deadlines
  • Maintain jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
  • Manage company tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, project managers, and other trades
  • Assist with framing and drywall installation as needed
  • Document field changes that may impact labor or material costs
  • What They're Looking ForSeveral years of steel stud framing experience
  • Previous Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or Crew Leader experience preferred
  • Strong ability to read construction drawings and plans
  • Experience with commercial framing projects
  • Familiarity with framing tools, layout, and installation methods
  • Lift certifications (scissor lift/aerial lift) are a plus
  • Gas and powder-actuated tool certification is a plus
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a safety-first mindset
