About the role
- Support PR account teams through media research, targeted media list development, coverage tracking, reporting and day-to-day account coordination
- Assist with the development and editing of press releases, media alerts, pitch letters, fact sheets, press kits and other communications materials
- Research and develop timely, creative and newsworthy media angles, story ideas and pitch opportunities for clients
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and assist with media outreach, informational calls and pitching
- Research media trends, cultural moments and relevant news to identify opportunities for client visibility
- Assist in coordinating and executing media, influencer and special events, including grand openings, activations, menu reveals, press conferences and other client experiences
- Assist with staffing client interviews, media opportunities and photo/video shoots
- Support integrated PR and communications campaigns, including social storytelling, influencer outreach, partnerships, promotions and special initiatives
- Coordinate and maintain client assets, including photography, b-roll, press materials, digital content and other supporting resources
- Monitor and compile media coverage and assist with developing coverage reports, recaps and insights for clients
- Maintain organized client files, media lists, reports, calendars and activity tracking
- Contribute to the development of creative campaigns and proactive PR opportunities that support client goals, including initiatives focused on nonprofit and community impact
- Provide general administrative and account support to help keep client projects and team priorities moving forward
