Job Description:
Job Description We are seeking an Automotive Mechanic to service passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, and fleet vehicles in an independent repair shop environment. Reporting to the service manager and business owner, this role focuses on accurate repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections, with minimal customer contact and opportunities for progression to Senior Technician.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate inspection methods and diagnostic tools.
Perform preventive maintenance on passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, and fleet vehicles.
Repair and replace brake system components.
Inspect and repair suspension systems.
Replace worn or defective vehicle parts.
Conduct thorough vehicle safety inspections.
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in automotive repair.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automotive diagnostics and diagnostic scan tools.
Knowledge of brake systems and vehicle maintenance.
Experience with HVAC systems.
Strong attention to detail.
