Scale House Manager / Certified Weighmaster Grainger County, TN Apex Aggregates, a fast growing limestone aggregates quarry in the greater Knoxville area, is hiring a Scale House Manager to manage weighing operations, help with data analytics, and to play a key role in customer relations. What you'll do:
Be direct point of contact with customers Operate the scale house and weigh outbound trucks for material shipments Generate and manage weigh tickets, invoices, and daily production/shipping reports Record data and analyze for patterns and opportunities Certify and record accurate gross, tare, and net weights in accordance with state weights-and-measures regulations Maintain accurate customer, hauler, and product records in the scale system Perform routine scale calibration checks and coordinate with certified technicians for official calibrations
Who you are:
Certified Weighmaster (or willing/eligible to obtain certification promptly if not currently certified)Comfortable with basic computer/scale software systems and accurate data entry Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-truck-traffic environment Good communicator who works well with drivers, haulers, and quarry team Motivated person with entrepreneurial energy to help in a variety of ways as operations grow Why this role Join a high quality, privately owned quarry operation, as it grows under new ownership Stable, on-site role that's essential to daily operations Competitive compensation at $20.00 / hour Part of a small, high energy, tight-knit team
