About the role
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately
- Take accurate messages and relay information to providers and staff
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Answer general questions from patients and attorneys
- Collect patient payments
- Accurately document payments in patient accounts and office recordsAssist with billing-related questions and follow-upProcess medical-record requests
- Send billing ledgers, medical records, and other requested documentation
- Scan and upload paperwork into electronic patient recordsAssist with scheduling depositions and coordinating related documentation
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars
- Provide front-desk coverage
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties
- Assist staff with daily office needs and responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and general office software
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, attorneys, providers, and insurance representatives
- Experience with health insurance, medical billing, or a healthcare office is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but is not required
- Dependable transportation and the ability to report to the office for all scheduled shifts
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PMFriday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PMOne-hour unpaid lunch break Monday through Thursday
