About the role
Estimator – Lomira, WIThe Role Our client is recruiting an Estimator focused on winning heavy civil work through accurate, timely bids. You'll evaluate bid specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, solicit quotes, and work with Project Management teams to close business. This is a locally based, less travel-intensive track within a broader growth initiative across the group. Project Scope Mass excavation, building excavation, underground utilities, airfield paving, construction paving, roadways, hardscape work. Potential exposure to data centre and large civil projects depending on placement. Working Model
Location: Lomira, WI preferred; other offices considered depending on fit.
Travel:
~25% local travel. Focus: Bidding and winning work, working closely with PM teams on bid follow-up and budget tracking.
About You:
Essential 3+ years estimating heavy civil work, or Associate's degree in related field Experience estimating airfield paving, construction paving, or roadways Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Comfortable with tight deadlines and fast-paced environments Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record PreferredHCSS Heavy Bid proficiency (genuinely important for this role)Civil 3D experience for takeoffs and earthwork volume calculations Subcontractor/supplier negotiation experience Ability to walk through a bid end-to-end from takeoff through submission
