About the role
- Shovel and clear sidewalks, entrances, steps, loading areas, and other pedestrian areas
- Operate snow blowers and other small snow-removal equipment
- Apply bagged ice melt and deicing materials
- Maintain sidewalks and pedestrian areas throughout snow events
- Perform follow-up and refreeze treatments when required
- Work safely around trucks, skid steers, loaders, and other snow-removal equipment
- Follow directions from site supervisors and equipment operators
- Remain on site for the duration of assigned snow operations when required
- Must be dependable and able to report when called
- Must be available for snow events during days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work outdoors in cold, snow, wind, and freezing conditions
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location is required
- Previous snow-removal experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to operate a snow blower is a plus
- Previous snow plow experience required for plow truck drivers
- ScheduleThis is a seasonal, on-call snow position. Hours are weather dependent and are not guaranteed.
- Snow events may require extended shifts, and applicants should expect to work until assigned properties are safely serviced.
- Compensation$15.00 + per hour.
