Role Description:
The Estimator/Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, quantities, and proposals for metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, and acoustical systems, using plans, specifications, and site visits as needed. Day-to-day activities include reviewing bid documents, coordinating with general contractors, tracking project budgets, and assisting in value engineering to meet client needs and cost targets. The role also involves managing awarded projects, including scheduling, coordinating with field supervisors, monitoring progress against estimates, and supporting change order pricing and documentation. The Estimator/Project Manager will communicate regularly with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Construction Estimating and Project Estimation skills, including reading plans and specifications and preparing accurate material and labor takeoffs. Candidates should possess solid Cost Management and Budgeting skills to monitor job costs, support change orders, and maintain profitability throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Experience in commercial construction, preferably with framing, drywall, and acoustical systems, is beneficial. Proficiency with Quickbid, On Center, spreadsheets, and basic project management tools is desirable. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids and projects at once are important. Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical business practices is expected.
