Lumber Mill Maintenance

Location: North Plains, Oregon Compensation: $25-$30/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm Who We Are Our client is a premier lumber manufacturer that has grown from a small producer of clear Douglas Fir products into a leading supplier of high-end Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Western Red Cedar, and Alaska Yellow Cedar specialty materials.

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support mill operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient plant performance.

What You'll Do: Perform preventative maintenance on sawmill and production equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Diagnose and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and drive systems Conduct equipment installations and modifications as needed Perform welding and fabrication repairs Maintain proper documentation of maintenance work Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives

What We're Looking For: Previous experience as a Industrial Maintenance Technician Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience working in manufacturing or lumber mill environments preferred Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems Welding and fabrication experience a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong safety mindset
