From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Key job responsibilitiesAs a systems development engineer, you will work with a wide variety of functional groups and will be involved in the design and implementation of software systems for phased array antennas validation and test, as well as overall system integration: - Develop tools for characterizing antenna RF and system performance. - Develop software and test automation to support production test stations. - Support electrical and software bring-up, debug of new hardware. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement optimized validation and verification software. - Plan, develop and implement environmental test activities for phased array antennas. - Implement DSP FPGA firmware to map high-level algorithms from Matlab or C to architecture-specific code.Basic qualifications- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust- Experience with Linux/Unix- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processesPreferred qualification - Experience with distributed systems at scaleAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
