About the role
Lead procurement execution and supplier project management for aerospace programs to ensure compliant, cost-effective, high-quality deliverables aligned with technical, regulatory, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
Developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with program objectives, costs, supplier capabilities, and milestones.
Leading supplier selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and supply continuity efforts.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve procurement challenges.
Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, ensuring compliance, and reporting procurement metrics and risks to senior leadership.
Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; minimum of eight years in aerospace procurement or supply chain management, with proven experience managing complex programs. Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, contract management, negotiation, procurement systems, and regulations (FAR/DFARS). Certifications like PMP or CPIM are preferred. Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder influence, and multitasking abilities. Willingness to travel is required.
Key DecisionsRecommending supplier selection, sourcing approaches, and contract terms; prioritizing and escalating supplier issues; influencing recovery plans and procurement tradeoffs.
Work EnvironmentMainly office-based with frequent interaction across departments and suppliers, including travel and occasional overtime to support program needs and risk mitigation activities.
