About the role
This is a contract position. This person will work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite in Vienna, VA.In this role, you will: Review, interpret, and process garnishments, child support orders, tax liens, IRS levies, and other legal attachments in accordance with federal, state, and organizational requirements. Place, update, and remove account restrictions, holds, and freezes as required by legal orders. Conduct detailed account research to determine compliance requirements and available funds. Perform high-volume data entry of legal orders and related case information while validating documents, account data, and member information to ensure accurate processing and regulatory compliance. Monitor queues and workloads to ensure timely processing and adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs).Review incoming legal documentation for accuracy, completeness, and validity. Maintain accurate records and documentation of actions taken on member accounts. Identify and escalate complex cases, discrepancies, or potential compliance concerns. Communicate effectively with internal departments, legal entities, courts, employers, government agencies, and other stakeholders as needed. Support team objectives by assisting with workload balancing, queue management, and process improvements. Participate in quality reviews and ensure adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements. The skills we are looking for in this role include: Knowledge of legal regulations, court orders, and compliance requirements related to garnishments, levies, liens, and other legal processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills. Proficiency in researching and interpreting legal documents and account information. Previous legal experience in a law office, court system, financial institution, or related environment is preferred highly.
