About the role

Student Assistant IProvide direct service supporting the implementation of various counseling-related courses, service activities and/or research projects.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with preparation for classes and other various course tasks.
  • Complete clerical updates to Canvas
  • Researching topics related to classes.
  • Assisting with materials for current and prospective students.
  • Assisting with paperwork related to classes and/or fieldwork.
  • Maintain accurate records safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects and students, as needed.
  • Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant research articles.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and presentations.
  • Attend research/administrative meetings and take notes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in the organization of research materials and data.
Required Qualifications:
  • Be a current PAU studentCES doctoral applicant preferred and will consider a MA in CMHC student
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field
  • Be detail-oriented; Have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with APA formatting
  • Familiarity with a variety of technologies, such as online survey software and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work with graduate students
  • Knowledge of research methods and data analysis software is preferred
  • Familiarity with counseling-related research preferred
  • Experience with IRB protocols and procedures preferred
