Role Description: This part-time remote Payroll Administrator role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for assigned employee groups. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining payroll records, verifying hours, calculating earnings and deductions, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies. The Payroll Administrator will manage garnishments, support payroll tax calculations, and coordinate with benefits administration to ensure correct deductions for employee benefits. The role also involves generating payroll reports, assisting with audits, and responding to employee inquiries in a professional and service-oriented manner. This position requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess skills in Payroll Administration, including payroll processing, data entry, and reconciliation. Candidates should possess skills in Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, including understanding of statutory requirements and compliance. Candidates should possess skills related to Employee Benefits, such as coordinating benefit deductions and aligning payroll with benefits enrollment. Candidates should possess Accounting-related skills, including basic bookkeeping, financial accuracy, and familiarity with accounting principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with remote teams. Previous experience in payroll or finance is preferred; an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is beneficial.
