About the role

A 60m+ performance sailing yacht is seeking an experienced Chef to join its established, world cruising programme. The owners follow a predominantly vegetarian diet that includes fish and generally enjoy two meals each day. Their preferences include freshly baked breads in the morning and high-end canapés in the evening, so strong baking skills and a creative, polished approach to presentation are essential. The ideal candidate will have previous experience aboard large sailing yachts and be confident delivering refined, health-conscious food. They should be organised, adaptable and comfortable on a sailing yacht. They will depart the US in October/November, pass through the Caribbean and transit the Panama Canal. The first owner trip is planned for March 2027 off California, with whale watching forming part of the itinerary. The yacht will then likely cruise north along the US West Coast for the summer. Winter plans are flexible, with either a Pacific crossing to New Zealand or a period in San Diego under consideration, followed by Japan. The yacht is primarily seeking a permanent Chef, although a flexible boss chef arrangement may also be considered for someone able to commit to the programme’s pre-booked owner trips. Leave: 60 days paid annuallyItinerary: Caribbean, Panama, US West Coast, Pacific and JapanSalary: DOE

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
