Company Description:
LumaDent, Inc., founded in 2009, is a leader in affordable, high-performance lighting and magnification solutions for dental professionals. The company designs and manufactures powerful LED headlamps and advanced thru-the-lens and flip-up loupes that emphasize precision, ergonomics, and comfort. Its compact LED headlamp, known for exceptional brightness and convenient replaceable wires, sets a high standard in dental illumination. LumaDent’s customizable, lightweight loupes help reduce back and neck strain while delivering crystal-clear optics and magnification from 2.5x to 10.0x to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care. The organization remains committed to continuous innovation, product quality, and responsive customer service in the evolving dental optics market.
Role Description:
The Territory Sales Representative – New Orleans, LA is a full-time, on-site role based in Long Beach, CA, focused on driving sales growth for LumaDent’s loupes and illumination products within the assigned territory. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying new dental customers, conducting product demonstrations, and providing consultative sales support to dental practices and educational institutions. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, following up on leads, preparing quotes, and negotiating pricing within established guidelines. The Territory Sales Representative will collaborate closely with internal teams to coordinate orders, address customer inquiries, and ensure a smooth post-sale experience. This position also requires participation in trade shows, continuing education events, and office visits to strengthen relationships and expand market presence.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated skills in territory management, prospecting, and consultative selling, preferably in dental, medical, or related equipment sales. Experience building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, including strong customer service and account management abilities. Solid communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical product features in clear, accessible language. Proficiency in using CRM software and basic office applications to track leads, manage opportunities, and prepare sales reports. Ability to work independently in the field, organize travel and appointments, and manage time effectively across the assigned territory. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular customer visits and event attendance. Previous experience in dental optics, medical devices, or capital equipment sales is highly beneficial. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
