Maintenance Helper

RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Overall shop cleaning and organizing. (including bathrooms and lunch room) Basic building and office repairs (light switches, assemble and repair office furniture, etc.) Occasionally performs general carpentry Paints as required uses rollers, brushes, extension poles, or spray guns as needed Performs cleaning and inspections of equipment and the building Required to assist with installation projects (install lights, racks, etc.) Completes basic maintenance paperwork and assists with PM's Tracks and records parts or tools that may need to be purchased Uses power tools to complete repairs Performs general housekeeping duties as required in work areas.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to understand and follow all quality alerts. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee will be required to work at heights The employee may be required to use a respirator while grinding/sanding/using chemicals The employee must regularly stand, and to push a tool cart through the plant The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee will be required to reach, and lift overhead and below the waist. Duties require full range of motion. The employee will experience changes in temperature and humidity levels.
