Role Summary:
Our client is an established international manufacturing group specializing in work holding and clamping systems for machine tools, serving turning, milling, and other precision manufacturing applications. They are seeking a hands-on Inside Sales Manager to lead a team of three while providing commercial and technical support to customers and the Outside Sales team. This is a working manager role, combining people management with daily involvement in quotations, customer inquiries, and order support. The ideal candidate brings strong technical aptitude and a disciplined, collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team (3 people), establishing clear priorities, processes, and accountability. Manage daily quotations, customer inquiries, order support, and follow-up activities. Provide product and technical support to customers and sales representatives. Partner with Outside Sales to ensure timely and accurate commercial support. Coordinate with Engineering on product and application requirements and with Marketing on commercial initiatives. Resolve customer issues and improve Inside Sales workflows and responsiveness.
Candidate Profile:
5–15 years of relevant experience in Inside Sales, Technical Sales Support, Sales Operations, or a related customer-facing function. Previous experience managing, supervising, or developing team members. Background in technical/mechanical industries, preferably machine tools, workholding, tooling, machining, industrial equipment, or engineered products. Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical products and applications. Experience supporting an Outside Sales organization. Strong organizational, customer-service, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Collaborative, professional, and non-confrontational leadership style.
