About the role
Job TitleThis position works under general supervision to perform a variety of mailroom, courier, records management, transportation, and logistical support duties.
Pay Grade: 42 Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications:
Four (4) years of data entry, customer service, or related experience; and High school diploma from an accredited high schoolPROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Retrieve, sort, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail from the USPS, County Mailroom, and various locations throughout the office according to established schedules and procedures.
Process in-house mail and postage, including electronically applying postage, monitoring postage-meter balances, and preparing mail for daily delivery to the Post Office.
Prepare, print, and process official notices and correspondence, including assessment changes, Tax Sale notices, and other required mailings.
Perform daily and scheduled pickups and deliveries of payments, documents, supplies, equipment, and other materials between County offices, satellite locations, and other designated facilities.
Transport and exchange documents with governmental offices, including Clerk, Finance, Mayor's Office, Chancery Court, Purchasing, and municipal offices in Collierville, Germantown, Cordova, and Millington.
Make bank deposits and change runs for the Remittance Department and perform other financial-related deliveries as directed.
Deliver and retrieve supplies, equipment, and materials for satellite offices, including roving cashier equipment during tax season and office supplies as needed.
Maintain accurate logs, records, and files related to mail, deliveries, pickups, equipment, and other assigned activities.
Collect, organize, maintain, store, and retrieve official records and files in the warehouse as directed by the Remittance Manager or Supervisor.
Perform records management activities, including the authorized destruction of archived records and boxes in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain the assigned office vehicle, including coordinating preventative maintenance and ensuring the vehicle is available and suitable for official business.
Perform recycling, office supply runs, branch pickups, and other courier, transportation, and logistical duties as assigned by the Remittance Manager or Supervisor.
Performs other duties as required or directed.

Must possess data entry skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy.
Must have strong attention to detail skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing).
