Job Summary:
Serve as initial communications point for the company. Answer and transfer calls on a multi-line phone system for the company's facilities. Greet and attend to all company visitors. Data entry and typing duties. The position is full-time Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.mEssential
Duties & Responsibilities:
Respond to inquiries on the telephone and face to face with guests, vendors, and employees. Answer, screen, and transfer telephone calls. Greet and attend to visitors entering the organization. Respond to general questions from the public and customers. Accurate and timely data entry. Occasional projects assigned. Understanding and coding of Accounts Payable.
Competencies:
Ability to work in a team setting, as well as independently. Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving techniques, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Excellent communication, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and be resourceful. Project a professional appearance and courteous demeanor. Patience is a necessity with the ability to provide information to callers, deal with questions from customers and direct people to correct destination. Ability to multi-task, answering various phone calls, talk face to face with clients and well as visitors and employees, and perform clerical duties. Work in safe and efficient manner.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency with three years of experience in an office reception setting. A two-year office technology or secretarial sciences degree is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, up to twenty pounds, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necess
