About the role

A leading national law firm is looking to add an established Labor & Employment Partner to its growing San Francisco practice. This is an opportunity for a highly regarded Labor & Employment attorney to join a national platform with a sophisticated client base and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the firm’s presence in Northern California. The practice advises employers across a wide range of industries on both contentious and day-to-day employment matters, providing strategic advice alongside representation in complex disputes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with sophisticated clients on high-value matters while developing their practice within a broader national platform.
Responsibilities: Represent clients in employment litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitrations and other workplace disputes. Counsel employers on wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination matters. Advise on employment policies, workplace practices, employee relations and broader risk management. Provide strategic guidance on reductions in force, employee discipline, terminations and other personnel matters. Handle labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, grievances and related disputes. Advise clients on restrictive covenants, trade secrets and other employment-related business issues. Work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm's national Labor & Employment and litigation practices. Contribute to the continued development of the firm's San Francisco Labor & Employment offering.
Qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Active California Bar admission and good standing. Significant experience practicing Labor & Employment law on behalf of employers. Strong experience handling sophisticated employment litigation and/or counseling matters. Comprehensive knowledge of California and federal labor and employment laws. Strong client relationships and demonstrated business-development capabilities preferred. Competitive Partner compensation. Opportunity to join a growing national Labor & Employment practice.
