About the role

Our client, a well known luxury fashion and lifestyle brand, is looking for a Design Director to join their team in New York to design across their Home categories
Responsibilities: Own the creative vision and design direction for the Home category Lead seasonal design development across color, pattern, materials, graphics, and textiles from concept through production Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing creative direction, feedback, and development support Partner with merchandising, buying, sourcing, and product development to align design with business goals, customer trends, cost, quality, and production capabilities Research emerging trends across interiors, textiles, and lifestyle Oversee print, pattern, surface design, and softgoods development, including bedding, pillows, throws, and related textile products Review design presentations, technical materials, prototypes, and samples to ensure the final product meets creative and quality expectations Present seasonal concepts and collections Manage design timelines and deliverables while supporting sourcing trips, factory visits, and industry events as needed
Qualifications: 7-10+ years of relevant design experience within home decor, softgoods, textiles, furniture, or a related lifestyle category Prior experience in a leadership role Bachelor's Degree in design or related field Strong knowledge of manufacturing process and production timelines Proficiency in Adobe CSStrong written and verbal communication skills Please submit your resume & portfolio for consideration!
