Echo Technician Position at VA Hospital in Los Angeles, CAA-Team Solutions is seeking full-time Echo Technicians to work on contract at the VA Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.Job duties include performing all aspects of cardiac ultrasonography, assisting during invasive trans-esophageal echocardiograms, operating the Cardiac Echo Laboratory, interpreting echocardiograms, scheduling and instructing patients, generating clinical scans, preparing echo reports, relaying patient information to physicians, sterilizing probes, monitoring equipment maintenance, and maintaining supplies and equipment for the Echocardiography Laboratory. Report administrative and technical problems to the cardiologist, be available for emergency urgent care procedures, and demonstrate familiarity with current echocardiography equipment and techniques. Must access VA cardiology echocardiography database system for report entry and updates. The contractor shall be paid only for the work performed. Requirements include a graduate degree from a certified cardiovascular technology school or an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography, A.R.D.M.S. or C.C.I. certification or registry eligibility, one to two years of clinical echocardiography and stress echo experience, and at least 15 hours of echocardiography-related continuing education over three years. Must maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification and ACLS.A-Team Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
