About the role
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Production department
- Establish priorities and ensure production stays aligned with customer and company commitments
- Manage production schedules, capacity, workload, and resources
- Monitor production performance and establish meaningful department metrics
- Identify bottlenecks, resource constraints, and potential delays before they become larger problems
- Lead and develop the Production team, including our Production LeadSet clear expectations and provide coaching, feedback, and performance support
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance, and development of production employees
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve production challenges
- Ensure production meets established quality standards, work instructions, and specifications
- Drive continuous improvement in production processes, workflow, tools, and efficiency
- Help develop and maintain standardized production processes
- Identify opportunities to reduce rework, improve throughput, and increase productivity
- Communicate production status, risks, resource needs, and opportunities to company leadership
- We're looking for someone who can combine strong people leadership with practical manufacturing experience.
- You should have:5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing 2+ years of experience leading or managing a production team
- Experience managing production schedules, priorities, and competing demands
- Strong understanding of manufacturing or assembly processes
- Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, and workflow
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, or similar teams
