About the role

The County of San Luis Obispo is seeking a strong and creative Parks & Recreation Director to oversee the operation and management of the County’s parks, golf courses, and recreational facilities. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team, complete and implement the Parks Master Plan, and serve as a visionary, politically savvy leader with a proven record of community engagement. Appointment will be made based on qualifications and experience, with a 5% increase anticipated July 1, 2027.
