About the role

Bindery Equipment Operator You'll operate and maintain a full suite of bindery equipmentcutters, folders, stitchers, coaters, die-cutters, laminatorsin a high-volume offset and digital print facility serving e-commerce fulfillment clients. A bindery mistake here doesn't just slow things downit shows up in thousands of customer orders.
Responsibilities: Set up, calibrate, and operate guillotine cutters, programmable cutting systems, buckle and knife folders, saddle stitchers, UV coaters, die-cutting equipment, laminators, drilling machines, and related bindery machinery Read and interpret job tickets and work orders, then execute precise finishing operations including trimming, folding, scoring, perforating, stitching, coating, laminating, and drilling to exact specifications Inspect output continuously throughout each run for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, and consistencycatching errors before they multiply across a high-volume job Troubleshoot equipment issues in real time and perform basic maintenance to keep machines running without waiting for outside help Coordinate with press operators and production staff to ensure jobs move through bindery on schedule and meet daily deadlines Track bindery supplies, restock materials as needed, and package finished products correctly for shipping or fulfillment Follow all safety protocols around moving equipment, sharp blades, and heavy materials
What We're Looking For: Prior bindery or finishing experience in a commercial or digital print environmentyou've run cutters, folders, and stitchers before and know how to dial in a setup quickly Ability to read job tickets, measure accurately, and maintain tight tolerances across frequent job changeovers Physical capability to stand for full shifts, lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and handle repetitive motions with good hand-eye coordination High attention to detail and quality control instinctsyou catch problems before they become customer-facing disasters Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where the work pace doesn't let up and the job mix changes constantly Schedule & Conditions: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, at our Louisville, KY facility. This is a standing, physically active role in a production environment with equipment noise, frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and operation of machinery with moving parts and sharp blades.
