About the role

We are seeking an engaging and strategic New Patient Navigator to drive referral partner outreach and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for clinical trial participants. Operating at the intersection of community engagement, patient care, and study operations, you will cultivate high-value relationships with physician referral networks, manage new patient consult workflows, and optimize enrollment pipelines specifically within complex oncology clinical trials. Working directly alongside Principal Investigators, Medical Directors, and Clinical Research Coordinators, you will ensure efficient trial slot fulfillment while delivering exceptional support to patients throughout the screening and pre-treatment phase.
Responsibilities: Physician & Community Partnership Development: Design and execute strategic outreach plans to build high-value referral networks with community physicians and medical practices; forge partnerships with diverse community organizations to elevate clinical trial awareness and expand subject enrollment pipelines. Patient Navigation & Enrollment Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective trial participants, facilitating initial consult scheduling, securing required medical records, and providing end-to-end guidance from initial referral intake through Cycle 1 Day 1 treatment initiation. Care Coordination & CRC Handover: Ensure seamless operational handoffs to assigned Clinical Research Coordinators prior to treatment commencement, maintaining closed-loop communication with referring physicians regarding candidate trial status, enrollment, or screen failures. Systems, Slot Management & Analytics: Utilize Clinical Trial Management Systems and Electronic Medical Records to monitor study slot availability, match potential subjects to active protocols, track referral pipelines, and deliver data-driven metrics to site leadership and Medical Directors. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Principal Investigators and research team leaders to prioritize screening schedules, resolve operational bottlenecks, and maintain high standards of patient-centric care.
Required Skills: Prior oncology clinical research or oncology patient navigation experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or commensurate professional experience.5+ years of combined experience in patient-facing clinical environments, physician outreach, account management, or healthcare relationship development. Demonstrated understanding of clinical research processes and protocol workflows. Proven expertise in project management and relationship building, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and handle competing operational priorities with a high sense of urgency. Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal intelligence. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities. Advanced technical proficiency in Office 365 products, with demonstrated experience navigating EMR and CTMS platforms. Schedule / Shift
