About the role
Microsoft 365 Administrator The Microsoft 365 Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, security, and ongoing support of the organization’s Microsoft 365 environment. This role ensures Microsoft cloud services are secure, reliable, and optimized while providing technical support to end users and partnering with infrastructure, security, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Share Point Online, One Drive, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).Manage user accounts, groups, licenses, permissions, roles, and access policies. Administer Exchange Online, including mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, mail flow, and email security. Manage Microsoft Teams configuration, policies, permissions, and collaboration settings. Support Share Point Online and One Drive permissions, access, sharing, and governance. Manage identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and Single Sign-On (SSO).Assist with Microsoft Intune administration, device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, and endpoint management. Monitor Microsoft 365 service health, security alerts, and system performance. Troubleshoot escalated Microsoft 365, authentication, email, Teams, and end-user issues. Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 security, compliance, retention, and data protection policies. Perform Power Shell scripting and automation for Microsoft 365 administrative tasks. Assist with migrations, tenant changes, upgrades, integrations, and other Microsoft cloud initiatives. Maintain technical documentation, procedures, configurations, and administrative standards. Work with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure Microsoft 365 follows organizational security and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365 environments. Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Share Point Online, One Drive, and Microsoft Entra ID.Experience with identity and access management, MFA, Conditional Access, and SSO.Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint/device management preferred. Working knowledge of Power Shell and Microsoft 365 automation. Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and data protection capabilities. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or other relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
