Treasury Analyst | Chicago, IL We’re partnering with a fast-growing, highly acquisitive energy company seeking a Treasury Analyst to join its corporate finance team in downtown Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who has strong month-end close and bank reconciliation experience and wants to build a long-term career in treasury. Working directly with the Director of Treasury, this person will initially focus on cash accounting and treasury operations while gaining exposure to cash positioning, liquidity management, forecasting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare journal entries related to cash activity, intercompany cash movements, banking transactions, and other treasury-related items
  • Complete bank and cash account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end close activities for cash and treasury-related accounts
  • Assist with payroll-related accruals, reclassifications, benefit funding entries, and general ledger activity
  • Monitor daily bank activity and support cash balance and movement reporting
  • Assist with bank account administration, treasury documentation, controls, and audit requests
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, AP, Payroll, and Operations
  • Participate in treasury reporting, variance analysis, cash forecasting, and process improvement projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, xsgimln or a related finance role
  • Experience preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close support
  • Strong understanding of cash activity and balance sheet reconciliations
  • ERP experience and strong Excel skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in treasury Experience with treasury operations, banking portals, cash forecasting, or a multi-entity environment is preferred but not required.
