About the role
Position Overview:
American/Interstate Signcrafters (AIS) is seeking a Project Manager I to support the execution of national signage and multi-site branding programs. This role is responsible for coordinating projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while delivering a strong customer experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously. This is a foundational role designed for individuals looking to grow into full program ownership over time. Internal & Client Partnership Focus In this role, you will work closely with project managers, business development, estimating, and external vendors to ensure projects move efficiently through each phase of execution. Success in this role requires: A strong service mindset toward both internal teams and customers The ability to execute defined processes with consistency and accuracy Proactive communication and follow-upA willingness to learn the full lifecycle of signage program execution
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Execution Support the execution of multi-site signage and branding projects from kickoff through closeout Coordinate site surveys, permitting, fabrication, logistics, installation, and project closeout Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Assist in sourcing and coordinating subcontractors for surveys, permitting, and installation Ensure vendors are aligned with project scope, timelines, and quality expectations Support communication between internal teams and external partners Financial & Administrative Support Assist with project cost tracking, invoicing, and documentation Support revenue tracking, billing processes, and internal reporting requirements Maintain organized project records within internal systems Customer Communication Provide timely and professional communication to clients regarding project status Support proactive updates on milestones, timelines, and deliverables Escalate risks or issues as needed to senior team members Process Adherence Follow established internal processes and standards for project execution Identify inefficiencies or gaps and communicate opportunities for improvement
Required Qualifications:
1–3+ years of project coordination or project management experience in the sign industry Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Clear and professional communication skills Basic understanding of project budgets, timelines, and workflows Experience working with vendors or subcontractors is a plus Proficiency in Excel and project tracking tools (Smartsheet or similar preferred)
