Account Manager (Aviation & Public Spaces)
Location: Remote (Based in WA, OR, CA, MT, ID, WY, or the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area)
Travel: 25-30% (Domestic and International)
Reporting to: Director of Sales
The Opportunity: We are a premier manufacturer and distributor of high-performance furniture for airports and transportation terminals. We are seeking a proactive, self-motivated Account Manager to oversee key airport and public space accounts across the USA. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker experienced in managing complex, long-term sales cycles within the architecture, design, or transportation sectors.
Core Responsibilities: Sales Growth: Actively promote a comprehensive suite of seating, power, and waste solutions to meet and exceed sales targets. Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategic business plans for customer acquisition, expansion, and retention. Relationship Management: Foster strong partnerships with airport authorities, architects, designers, and contractors. Proposals & Tenders: Lead the response process for RFP proposals and tenders for major transportation hubs. Market Presence: Represent the brand at industry trade shows and conferences across North America. Territory Management: Utilize cold calling, face-to-face selling, and professional presentations to secure market share.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 7 years in an Account Manager role, specifically within the furniture-airport, and Furniture transportation industries.
Education: Post-secondary degree in Business or a related field. Sales Expertise: Proven track record in managing complex, prolonged sales processes and high-value negotiations. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Power Point), CRM, and ERP software. Logistics: Must possess a valid passport for travel between the US and Canada and live within a reasonable drive of a major airport hub.
Key Competencies: High level of autonomy with a results-oriented mindset. Exceptional English communication and presentation skills, comfortable pitching to senior-level management. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building long-term, trust-based relationships.
Compensation & Benefits: Competitive Base Salary Uncapped Commission Structure linked directly to performance. Flexible Work: Home-office based with required travel for client visits and head office meetings in Ontario.
