Perform all basic grinding required within the shop conforming to all specifications. Math and shop related knowledge a must. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Set-up and run any parts on CNC ID cylindrical grinders Inspect 1st pc and own work to meet standards Operate precision gauging Follow safety standards and procedures Can operate with little or no supervision Follow proper work instructions EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years CNC grinding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts using decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITYAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Vision requirements for part inspection and machine operation
