We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant to support our Soybean Crush Marketing team. As a Merchandising Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Soybean Crush operation by working closely with our processing plants and customers. Our team consists of Traders, Logistics Specialists, and Merchandising Assistants who work together toward a common goal. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, help one another, and celebrate successes together. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, team-oriented individual who thrives on ensuring transactional accuracy and smooth operational execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and process netback documents for soybean crush plants Generate and process sales invoices for crush customers Collaborate with traders and the logistics team to resolve issues and ensure timely resolution Process accounts payable transactions for payment via ACH, wire, or check Maintain accurate, well-organized files in shared drives and email inboxes Provide general support to the merchandising and accounting teams Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Accounting, or related field, preferred Agricultural and/or logistics experience is a plus, but not required. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. Experience with AGRIS is a plus. Strong customer service commitment. Reliable team player with a proactive attitude.
Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone. Ability to navigate an office environment. Regular and predictable attendance in office, Ankeny, IA.
