About the role

This is W2 role and a 3+ months Contract and the location is in Dallas TX 75390/ Hybrid. We are seeking a Pre-Award Grants Specialist / Research Administration Coordinator to support high-volume proposal submissions within Sponsored Programs Administration. This role focuses on reviewing grant applications for technical compliance, formatting, and documentation accuracy (NIH and other sponsors) – not scientific content.Key ResponsibilitiesReviewing research department applications/submissions for technical compliance (NOT the scientific content). Ensuring correct formatting and all required documentation (esp. NIH, which may involve foreign collaborations). Managing high volume of submissions, especially in May–June. Communicating with department admin/lab staff (not direct researchers), requesting corrections as needed, and facilitating back-and-forth to finalize submissions. Using internal grant system for tracking and updates. Preparing proposals for final routing to manager/director, who acts as "signing official."
