About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Assurance Manager to lead and coordinate quality management activities across construction projects from planning and design through to completion. The successful candidate will ensure that works are delivered in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, contracts, statutory requirements and recognised industry standards. This role will involve working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants and site teams to promote a consistent culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing project quality plans, inspection and test plans, quality procedures, checklists and audit schedules. You will review method statements, material approvals, inspection records and technical submissions, while monitoring site activities to confirm compliance with approved documentation. The role will also involve conducting internal audits, coordinating independent inspections, managing non-conformances, investigating defects and overseeing corrective and preventive actions through to close-out. You will maintain accurate quality records, prepare regular reports, identify recurring issues and provide practical recommendations to improve project performance. Supporting handover activities, including the compilation and review of completion dossiers, operation and maintenance information, test certificates and as-built documentation, will also be required. Applicants should have substantial experience in construction quality assurance or quality control, ideally gained on complex building, civil engineering, infrastructure or industrial projects. A relevant technical, engineering or construction qualification is required, along with a strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection processes, construction materials and regulatory requirements. Professional certifications in quality management, auditing or construction inspection would be advantageous. You will need excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge non-compliant work constructively and influence teams at all levels. The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced site environment is essential. A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, integrity and continuous improvement are expected.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
