About the role
Build and wire electrical control panels, machine control panels, and industrial electrical systems according to engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and engineering drawings. Perform panel layout, component mounting, wire routing, labeling, and termination. Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate electrical wiring according to specifications. Perform point-to-point wiring and verify connections against electrical schematics. Test completed panels and electrical systems for proper operation. Troubleshoot wiring, electrical components, controls, and system functionality. Assist with electrical checkout, startup, commissioning, and machine testing. Make wiring modifications and electrical corrections as required. Use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Identify and communicate design, wiring, component, or documentation issues to engineering. Maintain accurate documentation and record changes made during assembly or testing. Follow established electrical, safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in electrical panel building, electrical assembly, industrial electrical work, or electrical controls.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience wiring electrical control panels.
Strong understanding of electrical components and industrial control systems.
