Role Description The Receptionist & Event Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role located in Irving, TX. This role manages the front desk by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to general inquiries in a professional and welcoming manner. The position includes administrative and clerical tasks such as handling mail, maintaining office supplies, supporting staff with scheduling, and updating records and databases. The role also coordinates event logistics, including room reservations, event setup and teardown, communication with ministry leaders and vendors, and maintaining event calendars. The Receptionist & Event Coordinator works closely with staff and volunteers to ensure that guests experience a hospitable, well-organized environment. Qualifications Strong phone etiquette and receptionist duties skills, including greeting visitors, managing multi-line phone systems, and handling inquiries professionally. Clerical skills such as data entry, scheduling, filing, and basic office administration to support daily operations and event preparation. Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, volunteers, and visitors, both in person and in writing. Customer service skills to provide a welcoming, helpful presence and resolve questions or concerns in a courteous manner. Organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate multiple events, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Comfort working in a church or nonprofit environment and alignment with the mission and values of Irving Bible Church. Basic proficiency in office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, and calendar tools); experience with event or facility management systems is a plus. Previous experience in reception, hospitality, events, or administrative support is preferred but not required. J-18808-Ljbffr
