Job Description: Closeline Settlements is a real estate title insurance and escrow provider headquartered in Rockville, MD. Since our inception in 1993, we have focused on being a technology leader in the industry, developing and utilizing in-house software to support our operations and clients. We are currently seeking a Funding and Wire Clerk to join our Funding Department team. This position is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of settlement funds and wire transactions while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
Responsibilities: Assist with the processing and disbursement of settlement funds and wire transfers. Review and verify funding information, wire instructions, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and process financial transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures. Enter and maintain accurate financial and transaction information in company systems. Reconcile transaction information and identify and resolve discrepancies. Verify the accuracy of business and financial transactions prior to processing. Communicate with internal departments, settlement agents, and financial institutions as needed to facilitate funding and wire transactions. Maintain organized and accurate records related to funding and disbursement activity. Handle confidential financial and customer information with discretion. Perform general administrative and data-entry duties as needed to support the Funding Department. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Previous experience in the title, settlement, escrow, banking, accounting, or financial services industry preferred. Prior accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, or similar experience preferred; recent college graduates are welcome to apply. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working with numbers and financial information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate company software and systems. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information appropriately. Banking or wire-transfer experience is a plus.
