About the role
- Business Applications / ERP Support, Approximately 80%Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day support of ERP/order-management and other business-critical applications
- Troubleshoot application issues affecting Customer Service, Accounting, Distribution, Operations, Sales, and other departments
- Determine whether issues involve the user, data, permissions, configuration, application, integration, or another connected system
- Support user accounts, permissions, access, application configuration, and routine application administration
- Support ERP workflows involving orders, customer information, inventory, shipping, invoicing, returns, and e-commerce
- Troubleshoot issues between ERP, e-commerce, shipping, and other connected third-party applications
- Resolve front-end and configuration issues when possible
- Escalate deeper technical issues to the appropriate internal specialist, MSP, software vendor, or application partner
- Maintain ownership of escalated issues through resolution
- Participate in application upgrades, testing, system changes, and user acceptance testing
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve application usability and business workflows
- Onsite IT Support, Approximately 20%Serve as an onsite technology resource for employees and executives
- Support Windows and macOS computers, monitors, printers, peripherals, and workplace technology
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, application access, and equipment setup
- Support SSO, MFA, identity, permissions, and other user-access issues
- Respond to walk-up requests and service tickets while balancing competing priorities
- Coordinate with MSPs, network partners, and other technical specialists when infrastructure support is required
- Maintain clear documentation, troubleshooting procedures, runbooks, user guides, and knowledge-base content
- What You Need to Bring 3+ years of relevant experience supporting business applications, ERP systems, enterprise applications, IT systems, or a combination of application and end-user support
- Hands-on experience supporting or administering an ERP, CRM, order-management system, e-commerce platform, WMS, or other business-critical application
- Experience troubleshooting technology used by departments outside of ITStrong troubleshooting and problem-isolation skills
- Experience supporting user accounts, permissions, access, or application configuration
- Experience working with software vendors, MSPs, or outside technical partners
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS and common workplace technology
- Understanding of identity, access management, SSO, MFA, and general IT support practices
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and customer-service skills
- Ability to learn unfamiliar applications and technologies quickly
- Manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, dental, distribution, consumer products, or another physical-product environment
- Experience with ERP-connected e-commerce, warehouse/distribution, shipping, or financial applications
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Active Directory, Okta, SSO/MFA, JAMF, Apple Business Manager, or similar technologiesExperience with ticketing, remote-support, documentation, or IT asset-management platforms
- Exposure to low-code/no-code tools, workflow automation, PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologiesExperience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot to improve troubleshooting, documentation, or productivity
- Familiarity with regulated environments, computer system validation, or 21 CFR Part 11
