Position Summary:
The Athletic Trainer supports Sports Medicine clinic operations and patient flow. Assists with injury evaluation support, care coordination, and clinic workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports clinic operations including intake, rooming, and workflow
- Assists providers with injury evaluation support
- Supports concussion screening under provider direction
- Coordinates imaging, referrals, and follow-up care
- Serves as liaison to outreach athletic trainers
- Supports return-to-play protocols
- Provides patient and family education
- Documents clinical support activities in EMRScope and Role Clarification
- Primary assignment is clinic-based
- Works under provider and clinic leadership direction
- Does not independently diagnose or manage conditions
- Supports workflow and coordination within clinical pathways
Qualifications:
- Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) – TexasATC (BOC) requiredBLS required
- Sports medicine or orthopedic experience preferred
- Work Environment
- Clinic setting
- May include occasional outreach or extended hours
