About the role

Senior Full Stack Engineer Alight is investing in making the complexity of the infrastructure connecting employers, benefits administrators, insurance carriers, and service providers actionable through its new Benefits Intelligence offering. By connecting data across the benefits ecosystem, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes, and enabling employers to take meaningful action, Benefits Intelligence has the potential to fundamentally change how organizations manage their benefits programs and improve the experiences of millions of people. We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help bring this vision to life, taking product concepts from prototypes through architecture, implementation, and production within Alight's broader Worklife experience. This role translates emerging product designs into secure, maintainable application services, APIs, data models, workflows, and user experiences. Key Responsibilities: Designing and evolving application architecture, data models, workflows, and business logic. Building APIs and services connecting Worklife with the Alight Data Engine. Developing and integrate intuitive administrative and user-facing experiences. Establishing reusable engineering patterns for security, testing, observability, deployment, and reliability. Turning emerging product requirements into practical technical solutions and incremental delivery. Leading technical execution across Engineering, Product, UX, Data, and platform teams. Building production-ready services, APIs, workflows, automated tests, telemetry, and operational documentation. Required
Qualifications: 6+ years of software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production applications. Strong experience with backend services, API design, application data modeling, and modern front-end development. Experience designing and building complex B2B applications or comparable workflow-driven products. Ability to turn ambiguity into clear technical decisions and working software. Experience integrating new capabilities into existing products and technology ecosystems. Ability to lead technical work across teams through collaboration and influence. Experience using AI-assisted or agentic development tools within disciplined software engineering practices. Experience integrating applications with data or AI-enabled services. Experience improving the reliability, observability, and operational efficiency of production applications. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
