Job Title: Certification Assessment Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL 33637 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $31.60/hour
Contract Duration: 3-month Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary: The Certification Assessment Specialist supports certification programs by managing candidate applications, reviewing eligibility requirements, coordinating certification exams, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with certification and accreditation standards. The role reports to the Vice President of Certification and has no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities: Review and validate certification applications and supporting documentation. Determine candidate eligibility based on established policies. Coordinate exam scheduling, administration, accommodations, and vendor interactions. Support exam development, psychometric analysis, and quality assurance activities. Maintain secure, audit-ready certification records. Provide customer support and communicate certification requirements to candidates and stakeholders. Assist with accreditation, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Background: High school diploma/GED required; degree preferred.2+ years of experience in certification, credentialing, assessment administration, operations, records management, or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational, customer service, and policy interpretation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and certification or database management systems.
