About the role
Position SummarySupports a broad range of moderately complex projects (design, implementation, etc.). Projects could range from new equipment, procurement and installation; machine safety improvements; maintenance projects; equipment enhancement; new products; sales support, training support, etc. Projects may be small stand-alone projects or portions of a larger project with the larger project being managed by others. Also troubleshoots current production equipment/processes for maximum quality throughput. Generates cost savings ideas throughout facility.Key Position ResultsSuccessful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and with required functionalityEffective monitoring and communication of project cost and schedule to stakeholdersAccurate integration of new systems and equipmentProactive risk identification and mitigation throughout the project timelineKey ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementDefine project scope and objectivesDevelop and manage project budgets and schedulesIdentify and manage project risks and issuesCommunicate project status and performance metrics to stakeholdersStakeholder CommunicationProvide clear and consistent updates on project status and key metricsTechnical SupportTroubleshoot and support production equipment and processesProvide technical assistance to Sales and other departmentsOther DutiesPerform additional responsibilities as assignedRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong problem-solving and organizational abilitiesExperience with product and process design techniques (APQP, Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, etc.)Intermediate knowledge of machine design and operating principlesIntermediate knowledge of machine repair and troubleshooting practicesProficiency in CAD, PC systems, and PLCsHands-on, independent contributor who thrives in team environmentsAbility to travel 25-50%Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferredMinimum of 5 years of related engineering experienceProject management training preferred (MS Project, Gantt charts, PM methodologies, etc.)Our Company is proud to have a dynamic and inclusive workforce where employees are empowered to innovate, thrive and grow.We believe that each employee's unique strengths contribute to the success of our organization.
