Location: Amarillo, TX
Job Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $25.00 to $42.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PMYour Impact As aManufacturing Operations Planner, you'll play a key role in developing the processes used to assemble aircraft products at the Amarillo Assembly Center. You'll take released engineering information and translate it into actionable manufacturing plans, includingwork instructions, tooling requirements, production changes, and build sequences. You'll also partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other production teams to solve problems, improve processes, and ensure the factory floor has accurate information when it's needed most.
What You'll Be Doing: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Incorporating engineering changes using established systems, policies, and procedures while coordinating updates with Change Management and Manufacturing customers. UtilizingCAD systemsto analyze tooling requirements and participate in tooling design and evaluation for aircraft assemblies. Providing timely support to the factory floor to ensure accurate changes are incorporated into released production orders. Reconciling the Engineering Bill of Material (BOM)with the Manufacturing Bill of Materialto ensure proper material consumption and resolve discrepancies. Partnering with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering teams to developefficient, repeatable build sequencesfor major assemblies. Applying your understanding of aircraft assembly processes and tooling index requirements. Providing responsive liaison support directly to manufacturing operations. Troubleshooting routine production challenges involving redline support, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Supportingroot cause corrective actionsto address manufacturing issues and prevent recurrence. Identifying opportunities for tooling and process improvements that enhance manufacturing operations. Helping ensure engineering requirements are successfully translated into practical, repeatable production processes.
Required Qualifications: We're looking for candidates who bring:3 to 5 years of experiencein Production Planning, Manufacturing Planning, or a closely related area. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning principles. Understanding of tooling methodologies and assembly processes. Ability to effectively interpret and interrogateblueprints and Digital Product Definition, including CAD and GD&T.Experience working with manufacturing or ERP systems. Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and production teams. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications: You'll stand out with: Anundergraduate degree in a relevant discipline .Previous experience withaircraft assembly or aviation manufacturing .Experience using3DX (Dassault), PEO (SAP), and SAP .MRB experience .Experience supporting root cause corrective actions and manufacturing process improvements. Familiarity with tooling design, evaluation, and requirements for aircraft manufacturing.
