About the role

Job DescriptionIn collaboration with other department managers and under the supervision of the Director of Construction Operations, this position will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the operations, strategic planning and personnel management of the Sheetmetal Field, Area and Regional Superintendents across multiple states.Supervises:Field, Area and Regional Superintendents, Sheet MetalMega Project Site Superintendents, Sheet MetalEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all field leadership to ensure standards and productivity are met in an effort to achieve company goalsOperationsAssist direct reports withResource managementPromotions of leadership positions.Proper team selection for all regional construction operations, including assignment of General ForepersonProject execution strategies and schedulingResolution of issues, challenges and obstaclesUnderstanding and execution of QA/QC protocolsImplementation of Safety Department's protocolsConduct regular department meetings (i.e.: Superintendent, General Foreperson and Foreperson meetings)Prepare for and attend pre-bid & post-bid interviewsEnsure department's participation in project kick-off, mid-job and wrap-up meetingsReview and track project labor budgetsProvide input to toolroom manager on standard tools required for trade specific use and promote responsible use and return of company issued tools and equipmentEngage with employer groups and labor relations representatives to create and foster meaningful, long-term relationships that support company goals including defending and resolving labor disputesUnderstand and ensure compliance with applicable union Collective Bargaining AgreementsAssist Director in department budget and financial planningKnowledge of current building and mechanical codeSubmittal standards library and submittal creation processAssist Director in department fleet managementOther tasks and duties as assigned by Director and/or upper managementStrategic PlanningUnderstand and support the strategic plan and corporate visionContinual development and implementation of processes and procedures to achieve high level quality, productivity and efficiency across field operationsIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with construction operations (ie: installations, materials, equipment, personnel)Ensure safety measures are up-to-date and communicated effectively to all field personnel in an effort to mitigate risk and reduce liabilityPersonnel ManagementAdhere to and promote company policiesInstill a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and respect within the departmentRecruit, promote and retain highly skilled personnel across field operationsMentor, train and develop top performing ProCore, Bluebeam, BoxProficient in English.Valid driver's license and a clean driving recordSkilled in reading and interpreting plans and specificationsKnowledge of:local quality, occupational
