About the role
- Hands-on experience with Mazatrol programming and/or G-code editing
- Strong machine setup skills, including tooling, fixtures, and work offsets
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of machining speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and material characteristics
- Proficiency using precision inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- High school diploma or GED required Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes including QT, Nexus, Integrex, or similar models
- Load raw materials and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding components
- Set and verify tool offsets, work offsets, and machine parameters
- Monitor machine performance to maintain production efficiency and part quality
- Edit Mazatrol and/or G-code programs at the machine as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T specifications
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machine issues, tooling problems, and production concerns
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of CNC equipment
- Complete production records and inspection documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-axis or live tooling Mazak machines
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
- Experience using SPC, ERP systems, or job tracking software
- Forklift certification or experience
- Technical or vocational machining education Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive movements
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery, coolant, and manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE Work Environment
